Who is Nigel Barnes?
Nigel Barnes is no stranger to the music industry. His diverse musical career began over 30 years ago when he picked up his first guitar.
Almost as soon as he could play, he began to teach. Now a teacher of private and group lessons, Nigel has himself obtained level 1 theory and has completed the syllabus for the Ontario Conservatory of Music.
When not teaching music, Nigel has been involved in numerous
projects as a guitarist and/or lead vocalist.
He has performed with a number of bands and solo artists, including Bik
& The Ballpoints, Hot Cheez & the Fondue of Funk, Some of The Parts,
The Max and My Pal Hoagy. He has also performed live and in studio with
notable artists such as Ian Thomas, Ron Sexsmith, Don Kerr, Andrew Craig,
Ellen Carol, The Soul Foundation, Bullet and countless others.
It is what it is, Nigel's solo debut, showcases his talents not only as a guitarist, but also as a songwriter and vocalist.
Never one to slow down, Nigel's next project will combine his passion
for teaching music and his love of kids. And after that? Watch this
space...
